 Four-Point Contact Ball Bearings |
| The design of the bearing is separable; it is an angular contact bearing which accommodate axial load coming from both directions . The sections of raceways of the inner ring and outer ring are in a peach shape. The balls of the ball bearing contact with the four points of the ring when received a pure redial load. Besides the steel balls perform a two-point contact of the ring when received a pure two-way axial load. In addition this kind of bearing can take torque-load as well. It has all the functions of single row and double rows angular contact ball bearings. A well functioning is guaranteed only when a condition of two points contact has been occurred. Nevertheless, it is suitable for a condition of two points contact that the pure axial load or the large synthetic axial load appears. Since it has a high maximum speed, so it mostly used in high rotational speed, pure axial load or synthetic axial and radial load. | |
